If you’re missing multiple gems, then any one of the missing gems will drop. If you’re missing only one specific gem, when you defeat the greater rift guardian, then that gem will drop. This is calculated by the gems on you, your hirelings, and your stash. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread I still don't understand what the plan on doing, but man, it will be insane if they keep it this way.Įdit: you can see the whole argument. Unless you're a wow player and you play 16 hours a day, yes it's unattainable. Let's say you play the game 2 hours a day, on average. The system is broken and there's no way it can stay this way. This does not include the time it takes to get in and out of games or deaths, or to turn on your computer every day. It will take you 19683/5 = 3936.6 hours to get 1 Radiant Star gem. Let's say it takes you 1 hour to find 5 grade-5 gems (remember they have to be of the same type, so this is still being VERY liberal). That'sġ9,683 grade 5 gems = 1 Radiant Star gem. So I think we can all agree that it would be 3^9 grade 5 gems to make one Radiant Star gem, according to the latest we've heard. If it the old formula of 3:1 gems is require per upgrade and you can only find gems up to lvl 5, then the calculations are as follows (and I'm quoting from my old post back at the d3 forums): I think an interesting question to ask on this subject is: what will be required to upgrade gems (which may, in fact, have been the original question.)?
